Yesterday, the first workshop was held in Córdoba as part of the collaboration agreement between ECOTIC and FAEL, with the participation of Agustín Peña representing both organisations. This session marks the start of a series of workshops that will also take place in the provinces of Almería and Cádiz, aimed at companies and installers in the domestic and professional air conditioning sector.
These actions are part of the Ecoinstaladores programme, a well-established initiative that promotes the proper management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) generated by air conditioning systems. Thanks to the agreement with FAEL, the programme strengthens its training and local outreach activities in Andalusia through on-site workshops, awareness-raising actions and technical visits designed to improve collection networks and ensure the correct treatment of this waste.
The objective is to raise awareness within the sector about its legal and environmental responsibilities in managing equipment at the end of its useful life, in compliance with current regulations, particularly Royal Decree 115/2017. In this way, ECOTIC and FAEL jointly contribute to the professionalisation of the air conditioning sector and to the promotion of a more sustainable, circular economy–oriented model.
